Bristol Foster is a Canadian biologist, naturalist, educator, and filmmaker whose life’s work has been rooted in the study and protection of the natural world. In 1957, he set out with Robert Bateman on an extraordinary global journey in their Land Rover, The Grizzly Torque — an adventure that helped shape both men’s lifelong dedication to nature, conservation, and curiosity. Foster’s distinguished career has included work in ecology, wildlife research, museum leadership, ecological reserves, and documentary filmmaking.
