I love water and its exciting, ever-changing patterns. In a sense, this painting was meant to be empty of any center of interest. It was meant to be simply a view down into a pond, almost Zen-like. Suddenly, a tight, little flash catches the eye; it is the metallic glitter of a tree swallow which, in a moment, will be gone.
