Sheep are universally smiled upon as being unaggressive groupies. Their round, fluffy shapes and plaintive bleats contribute to the overall amusement as does their scatter-brained behaviour as a startled flock. The fact that one dog can control hundreds of sheep would indicate a somewhat latent intelligence on the part of the sheep.

This lone female Salt Spring sheep has a certain dignity, however, when observed one-on-one, eye-to-eye. Artistically, of course, she is merely a circle in a square, a simple, pleasing abstract image.
