Black-tailed Deer in the Olympics

The black-tailed deer is a coastal race of the mule deer. I have shown this mature buck in midsummer with his antlers in velvet. The setting is an alpine meadow in the Olympic Mountains. Summer is spectacular with cotton grass, Indian paintbrush and other flowers.
