I am charmed by the West coast of Canada as well as the North-west United States. Mountains march down to the sea producing peninsulas, inlets and islands. Roads are all but impossible over most of this land. As a result, the natural beauty is mostly intact. We are privileged to look at a landscape that is still as handsome as it was when early humans first made contact thousands of years ago. Without question, the aerial king of the coast is the bald eagle. I have shown one such king or queen after an unsuccessful attempt to catch a fish. The telltale sign is the sparkling track in the water.
